A package arrived at the door of my Dad's office. I am one of the lucky fellows from the 100 people that bought this server with a freebie. What freebie? An original Windows 2003 Server SBE edition. Best part of it, its genuine. It should fend out any raids from the Business Software Alliance (BSA). I plugged the server and the server boots up and says, Pentium Xeon Dual Core 3.00ghz. 2GB RAM with ECC. It's a sweet deal that I bought for RM2190. It comes with RAID 1, so it automatically backs up the data into a secondary hard drive. This will help us in long term as computer data hardly retains, after the hard drive dies.
The Windows Server 2003 is a complex operating system. Its really an operating system for a webmaster and administrator. I almost forgot the password and almost have an entire system lockdown. Thank god I remembered after digging my head hard. Anyways, for this price, I know you can buy a better desktop. However, it will not perform as well as a dedicated servers.
