My first ride

Nothing fancy about this car. Haha, its a 1998 Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi, with a 4G93 SOHC engine. It was my first touge car, when I was sent to do delivery rounds for Pizza Hut around Frankston, Melbourne, Australia. Full tank top up was about $25 AUD (When petrol was at $0.90 AUD per litre) So it was a pretty economical and a fast car. Only think I didn't like was that it was green and it seems green was my unlucky color. But it was a great car to practice with. No ABS and no airbag. Unladen weight of the car was about 1010kg. It would be about 20hp /per tonne lesser than the AE86, but still its a heck of a good FF practice car.

The only modification done to the car was K&N open pod filter, Kenwood MDC-4026 Headunit with Sirius Satellite radio module, Pioneer speakers front and back, Initial D (Yes, with the Initial D white and red lettering) carpet mats and Xtreme seat covers. Back then I didn't know much about performance, so it was all bling for me. It was only riding 175/70/R13 Goodyear Ducaro GA tyres on steel rims. Haha, I wasn't bothered to change as I prefer jumping over train track crossing a while ago, especially back near Mcmahon's crossing near Monash University Peninsula Campus.

As you probably have noticed the customised number plates on the car. I bought it dirt cheap for $100 AUD. The word XRIMA means money, according to the seller, who is Greek. I guess it basically matched the green characteristics of the car then.
