Flashback : Proton Saga 1.5(A)

This are pictures of my temporary ride in Malaysia, when I have returned from Australia. This was actually my 3rd ride, after the Mitsubishi Lancer GLXi and Honda Integra VTiR DC2. When I actually took this car, after my father's Jeep Wrangler won't start. I was amazed how powerful it felt, even for a 1.5 litre car. I wouldn't have guessed it, till i found out about its power to weight ratio. More suprisingly, is the fact that it is using a carburetor system. The 4G15 engine has been around for so long and was used in the Proton Wira and Satria SE too, but they were EFI.

After having this car for while, my dad decided to buy me a new car, which happens to be my Proton Satria Neo. The main reason because that the Proton Saga had one of its wheels went lose and fell off in the highway, so my car went into 3 wheel mode. Thank god I did not crashed or had any incoming cars hit me. So my dad was concerned about my safety and bought me that new car. But after spending so much time with this car, I have passed it down to my little brother, so that he could learn how to drive too.

Knowing how much I could do with the car, I spent a little money on the car, tuning it up, so that my brother could drive as good as me. I have tuned the cambering and alignment for the car, installed the K&N carburetor  air filter, Kevlar-based Crank pulley, adjusting ignition timing to 14 and then installing the Clarion CD player head-unit with Alpine speakers. This car was pretty awesome, it was able to tail my Satria Neo (my brother drove the Neo, whilst I drove the Saga) Only for a few hundred ringgits of mod, it was able to chase the Satria Neo on the North South Highway. We also decided to chase an incoming challenger, which his snobbish act on his Hyundai Elantra 1.8 made us pissed and both me and my brother played tag on the highway. It was really fun to run against my brother and for him to have the Proton Satria Neo. Sadly the car was sold, when my dad decided to get rid of older cars, but its kinda sad to see it go. I hope the new owners will enjoy this car though.
