Contilovers.com 3rd TT

We had another TT the following week in Seri Buluh, Mutiara Damansara near the curve. There was a larger turn out this time. There were some rare rides on the shot, including a Mercedes SL coupe and Brabus Smart Fortwo turbo. Dang, these rides are crazy to begin with. Definitely good to have them joining us. Perhaps lets go and visit other places as well this time.

On 9th of January, there was this grand event in Mutiara Damansara. A bunch of Merc enthusiasts from mybenz decided to come and join each other for a cup of tea. We all chat and talked about Mercedes-Benzes from different years and eras. We all had a fun time hanging out, taking pictures and admiring each others cars. Definitely a good TT to go to. Here's some pictures snapped on that day.

VW Polo GTi Test Drive

I saw Paultan's blog and noticed that they are clearing out the VW Polo GTi for RM99,999. Obviously this is a steal and I knew it days before the cars were all sold off.

So I was invited for a test drive, by a Lowyat.net member, Hezil. He is a salesperson for VW Malaysia. This car is much like the VW Golf GTi's younger brother. Despite the Gen 2-ish front lamps, this car looks very nice in its sharp colours. I took it out for a spin on the Damansara-Puchong Highway and this car was fast and torquey. 148hp and 220Nm of torque is way crazy for a small little car that weighs the same as my Proton Satria Neo (about 1150kg). What do I think of this car? I think it is awesome, sadly I wasn't able to get any financial loan in a short period, else I would have gotten this car. They were taking my Neo for RM30,000 for trade in. Anyways, heres some pictures to enjoy. (Real sad its all sold out!)
