Hyundai Coupe 2.0

Saw this awesome looking car in front of Sunway Pyramid. I had a look and took some pictures of it. It is quite a handsome car, since it was designed by Porsche too. It costs RM133K on the road. Not bad, at least it could fight with the Civic 1.8's price and its more exclusive than the defacto Honda Civic 1.8. Also to note, it is possible to transplant to the upcoming Evo X engine, the 4B11. The mountings should fit, since its based on a GEMA engine. This car would be good, once I could find a cheap 2nd hand.

2008 Chevrolet Captiva - 2.0 Diesel AWD

I've decided to go next door of the Mazda showroom, where the Chevrolet showroom is. I went inside the showroom and test drove the Chevrolet Captiva. Overall, its an SUV you want to buy, other than a Honda CRV. Best of all, it's diesel, so it's going to save a lot more in terms of mileage and fuel prices. The 2.0 litre DOHC turbo-diesel engine churns out 150hp and 320nm of torque on paper. Not bad at all. The pick-up was instantaneous. Sadly the dashboard wasn't the most inspiring or European looking, compared to the Mazda 6. But the exterior looks ok, no doubt. Seats were comfortable. The only complain was the dashboard and its meter clusters. Only Ssangyong has the best interior for an SUV, but lousy exterior (like the Ssangyong Actyon, Kyron, etc) Overall, it's the vehicle to own, if you need a family car, that could seat up to 7 people. Look at the boot space, it's not too bad too.

2008 Mazda 6 - 2.0 litre

Today, I went to the Mazda C&C showroom near the Federal Highway. I asked Mr. Daniel if I could test drive the Mazda 6 2.0. Without hesitation, he let me test drive the car. The car is pretty European looking and feel. Somewhat similar to a BMW, except the lack of the leather seats. Over all, a comfortable and nice ride. Suspension isn't too hard, though the 2.0 litre engine isn't as good as the 2.5 litre of course. At a price of RM145K on the road, it isn't too bad, if you want to travel in style. Take note its also a CBU unit, so quality would be better than Honda Accord or the Toyota Camry.
